Its purpose is to give added meaning, illustration or support to the message in its delivery. It should not be an <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/this-is-a-presentation-not-a-reading\/\">auto-cue<\/a>, <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/send-presentation-please\/\">handout<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/slideument-obvious-oblivious\/\">slideument.<\/a> It should illustrate the key points of the presentation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/on-the-eleventh-day-of-christmas\/\">An effective structure<\/a> to a presentation would follow the 11 points detailed earlier; an introduction (2), <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/summary-slides\/\">a conclusion<\/a> (12) and three steps, ideas or obstacles, each with three steps (3-11). This leaves the &#8220;slide&#8221;, often prescribed by organisations as a place holder, introduction or marker. The the adroit presenter will eschew this, fill this with &#8220;required&#8221; <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/one-word-for-templates\/\">organisational branding and icons <\/a>and opt to make their <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/the-best-title-slide-blogpost-ever-i\/\">introduction slide the most important slide of the piece.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/the-best-slide-in-the-world-ever\/\">The Best Slide in The World<\/a> should be frequently utilised in a presentation as even a perfectly chosen image, projected over an extended period of time can become <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/just-dont-do-it\/\">less supportive and more a point of interrogation and distraction<\/a>. <a href=\"https:\/\/ffolliet.com\/staging\/what-is-the-optimum-number-of-slides-in-a-presentation\/\">There is no perfect number of slides in a presentation<\/a> but 12 fits pretty well with both the song and an effective structure.
